Growing up in a small town in Northern New York along the Canadian border, hockey is a way of life! It is on the outdoor ice that I not only learned about the sport but also learned a lot about life in general. Many days of shoveling the ice, late night games under the lights, and trekking home with frozen feet left me with great childhood memories and in turn, an inspiration for my art. I created Genest Hockey Art to portray these unique moments that I share with my 'hockey buds' of yesteryear.more
